Hydrolates, also known as floral waters or herbal waters, are gentle aqueous solutions that are obtained as a by-product of the distillation process of plants for the production of essential oils. These hydrolates contain aqueous solutions of plant essential oils, as well as other water-soluble (water-soluble) plant compounds.
